MLA style
In short, MLA style stands for Modern Language Association Style. MLAS had been accpeted by many schools, institutions etc. Here are the guidelines you should obey while making sure your essay meets MLA standards:
- We are never to use an odd type or size of paper, or some paper torn out of notebook.
- For printed paper we should use only black ink and for hand-written papers we use black or dark blue ink. Never use pencils or colored ink. Never use different color or paper other tan white.
- We should never write on both sides of the paper, just on right side. In hand-written papers never cross out the mistakes but use a correction liquid.
- When printing use a standard 10 or 12 pt font and never use the fond that looks like hand-writing!
- You are always to use double space, and 5 spaces to indent the first line of each paragraph.
- The title goes at the top of the page, centered, never underlined or placed under quotations (”).
- As far as the page nubers are concerned, in top left corner write your name, your instructior’s name, the course number and the date (day, month, year without punctiation between) - 1/2 inch indent.
- In the upper right corner (again 1/2 inch indent) put your last name and page number.
- Spaces after punc
